The Revar Cine Variable ND builds on our popular 138mm polarizers found in the Rota Tray or mounted version to give you a 2-8 stop truly neutral variable density solution. Perfect for situations where standard ND filters are too slow to change or not possible. Available in multiple configurations, these two filter solutions enable fast changes from VND to Polarizer for maximum flexibility on set.

Precision control with stop-less rotation. All variable NDs have density shifts with light angles; even if stops are marked. Our design allows for fine tuning of density needed without limitations.

We hand match each polarizer to ensure minimal color shift. The most effective range is 2-6 stops where the filter remains very neutral.
No. Variable ND works with two polarizers crossed therefore light angle can effect the density of the filter. For this reason, we do not mark the stops. This is a solution for run-and-gun documentary style applications where exposure adjusted based on camera readings.
Our design intentionally takes up two trays to provide maximum flexibility. Single tray options that take up two trays in the matte box are difficult to change on the fly. The Revar Cine solution takes up two trays allowing you to pull one filter quickly to go from VND to Polarizer with ease.
