Depending on your application, the best strength can vary. The +1 and +2 are most popular due to the moderate or extreme distortion of the edges of frame for selective focus.
The +0.50 is popular giving you the ability to give a slight selective focus with context in the scene.
The donut hole size is in direct relationship to the size of your lens front element and desired frame coverage.
49mm is the most popular for lenses with 95mm to 114mm lens front element sizes.
37mm is the second most popular size for smaller front element lenses such as 80mm or smaller photography lenses.

Our 138mm Diopters require a 138mm filter holder either as a rear stage donut or trays from our own Double Tray, Arri, Cinema Works, or Bright Tangerine. Most trays take up two stages of a 4x5.65 Matte Box making 138mm rear donut mounting ideal for adding additional filtration.
