Frequently Asked Questions

Our 138mm Diopters require a 138mm filter holder either as a rear stage donut or trays from Arri, Bright Tangerine or Revar Cine Double/Triple trays. Most trays take up two stages of a 4x5.65 Matte Box making 138mm rear donut mounting ideal for adding additional filtration. The +3 requires either a Triple Tray or rear donut mount.

We only offer this in 138mm size.

Depending on your application, the best strength can vary. If you are after close shots at least half of the minimum focus distance of your lens, then the +2 is most popular. If you are looking to get just a little bit closer with Anamorphic lenses, the +0.50 is popular giving you the ability to go from mid-range to head and shoulders type shots easily.

Crazy Cool Filter!!! Used on dual Sony Burano's for a stunt heavy film. The Director of Photography was using scarf dust filters on each camera. I was just blown away by ...

... how it blooms the highlights and just adds a little bit more red to skin tones and just makes all the skin tones pop that much harder. Really phenomenal filter, made me go buy a matte box kit and a filter just so I can implement it in my films. Nice job Revant! Keep coming up with individual different than the norm filters.
