Depending on your application, the best strength can vary. The +1 and +2 are most popular due to the extreme distortion of the edges of frame for selective focus.
The +0.50 is popular giving you the ability to give a slight selective focus with context in the scene.
The clear window size is in direct relationship to the size of your lens front element and desired frame coverage.
52mm is the most popular for lenses with 95mm to 114mm lens front element sizes.
30mm is the second most popular size for smaller front element lenses such as 80mm or smaller photography lenses.
Donut diopters in +0.25 to +2 work in any standard matte box rear 138mm stage, Revar Cine Double or Triple tray or Bright Tangerine ONE Tray.
The +3 strength requires the Revar Cine Triple Tray, Arri rear 138mm matte box holder, Atlas 114-138mm or ND9eu clamp holder.
